MEET THE PACK

Shelby, a fifth-year Industrial Engineering student, has been a part of the dressage team for five years. After 4 years with IDA, she is now eventing at starter with her lease horse Oakley. Among her cherished memories with the team are the numerous movie nights and socials they have enjoyed together.

Piper is from Hillsborough, NC and has been riding and showing for 14 years. She has competed in the hunters and grew up competing in IEA before the COVID pandemic and then made her switch to eventing and dressage. She loves overnight shows with the team!

Abi is from Mocksville, NC and is majoring in Animal Science. She been riding since childhood and owns an OTTB named Pago. Her favorite memory with the team is her first IDA show at Averett University, when she got to spend the weekend with the amazing riders on the team and had her first taste of what IDA has to offer.

Alana is from Baltimore, MD and is a 3rd year Sociology student at NC State. She has been riding for 5 years and has a lease horse named Peter Pan. Her favorite team memory is going to her first double header show with the team. 

Kristin is from Waxhaw, NC. She is a second-year Biology student who is planning to go into veterinary medicine. Kristin has ridden for about 6 years, mostly helping train and rehabilitate horses, as well as learning about horses and the industry. Her favorite team memory so far is going to her first double header show with the team!

Ava has been riding hunters, dressage, and endurance for 13 years on various project horses. She currently rides a Hannovarian/TB cross named Elvis that teaches her a lot! Her favorite team memory is competing at the 2023 IDA Nationals.

​Gianna is from Raleigh, NC and is a second year Political Science student at NC State. She has been riding for 5 years and has a passion for helping young horses learn the basics of dressage. Her favorite team memory so far is when the team got together for a Halloween social!

Elyse is a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student who is originally from Minnesota. She has previously ridden in hunter jumpers for 10 years. Her favorite team memory is overnight shows!

Campbell is a freshman who is studying Mechanical Engineering. She is originally from Winston Salem, NC and has been riding for 9 years primarily doing eventing. A fun fact about her is that she has 5 siblings!

Anna is a first year Animal Science student from Asheville, NC. She has been riding for 4 years doing dressage and teaching kids riding lessons. A fun fact about her is that she has done mounted archery!

Emelie is a freshman who is studying Biomedical Engineering. She has been riding for 9 years, starting out in the jumpers and then transitioning to dressage.
